Money, Power, or Respect

Money. I work for money. Money truly is a double-edge sword.  In the wrong hands, it can lead to corruption and transgression, but in the right hands it can create so much good.  I like to think that with money in my hands, I can make a difference in people’s lives at a macro level. I used to dream of dedicating my life to bettering the lives of others—to think that money was not important. My mother provided me with advice that changed my life forever.  She said, “Noah, if you dedicate every moment of your life to helping others around you right now, you will have the ability to positively impact the lives of tens or even hundreds of people. You will truly change their lives for the better. But, what if, over the next 10 years, you decided to dedicate yourself to acquiring true wealth instead—to focus on your true potential for success. 10 years from now you can form a partnership between your large base of capital and your loving heart. You can then better the lives of thousands of people.”  That’s an investment I’m willing to make, and that’s why money is so important to me.
